About Yvonne
When I started out in the early 1980s as a medical photographer, at the Queen's Medical Centre Nottingham, it was all icky yucky gruesome stuff. Nowadays its fun and fabulous weddings, chirpy pucker people, sweet little things that dash about and furry critters that purr and woof. Medical photography wasnt my vocation but it helped me on the way to one. The NHS sent me to college part-time over three years where I gained recognized professional photographic qualifications.
After several years I moved out of Medical Photography to work as a photographer for the Natural Environmental Research Council and as a volunteer photographer for the RSPCA. Years later I worked for the latter as an education officer, having retrained at uni as a teacher, before eventually setting up my own wedding and portrait photography business in Nottingham.
Meeting people, their families, their friends, and pets, photographing happy times and beautiful things is just fab! I take great care and pride in what I do. I enjoy working through the images Ive taken, putting together wedding albums and image books, handing over memories and seeing people smile.
